The Culture: Reading at RiskA Survey of Literary Reading in America

The latest National Endowment for the Arts research study depressingly surveys the state of literary reading in America. Released in June 2004, this 60-page report finds that the percentage of adult Americans reading literature has dropped dramatically during the past 20 years and that literary reading continues to decline among all education levels and all age groups.
